Consultation
Public consultation is an important part of the development of proposals for the All Saints - Newton Road corridor. By consulting with local
residents, route users and other interested parties a greater understanding of the current operation of the corridor along with a range of views on
the likely impact of the proposals, can be built up.
Through this consultation we are looking for your input to assist the development of the proposals, your views on the ideas put forward, and
any further suggestions you may have to improve the movement of all users along All Saints and Newton Road.
How will the consultation take place?
Consultation will take place between the 10th February and 6th March, 2009. The consultation will involve a wide range of activities
to raise awareness of the proposals, gather views and opinions on their impact on the route and to feedback the results of the consultation.
Activities planned for the consultation include leaflet and letter drops to local residents, advertising on street, a series
of exhibitions along the route and information and a questionnaire available on-line.
How can you find information on the proposals?
You will be able to find information on the proposals in a number of ways;
- By attending a public exhibition, with plans and illustrations of the proposals and members of Sandwell Council along with the Design Team who will
be able to explain the plans to you.
Link to exhibition dates.
- By picking up a leaflet, this will be displayed in a number of local central locations such as supermarkets, libraries and council offices. The
leaflets will explain the scheme, give specific details of some proposals and provide contact details alongside this website address to allow you to
find further information.
- If you're a local resident by a letter and leaflet through your door.
- Through advertising on street.
- On this website, which displays specific details of all proposals.
- By requesting further details from the information line (answer phone only) on: 0121 262 1930
Leaving feedback on the proposals
Your ideas are valuable to us, to collect your ideas we will ask you to complete the
on-line response questionnaire.
We will also take a log of all questions asked at the exhibitions.
Does it make any difference?
In short, yes. All feedback, comments and views received at consultation will be thoroughly reviewed and where necessary further work will
be undertaken to investigate issues raised. Where problems are identified then the design team will try to address them through revisions
to the proposals. However, it is never possible to address all concerns and priority is given to significant issues and those raised most
often.
